1. Introduction
At PawDrop, we utilise Stripe as our secure payment processing partner. This policy outlines how Stripe processes payments on our behalf, your rights as a customer, and how we handle any disputes related to payments. This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By making a purchase through PawDrop, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Payment Methods
Stripe allows for the use of various payment methods, including:
- Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major providers)
- Debit Cards
- Digital Wallets (where applicable)
All payments are processed securely through Stripe\u2019s encrypted payment gateway to ensure that your financial information remains safe.
3. Authorisation and Payment Timing
When you place an order, Stripe may place an authorisation hold on your payment method. Your payment will be captured and debited from your account once the order is confirmed. If the payment is unsuccessful for any reason, we may contact you to provide an alternative payment method.
4. Currency and Payment Fees
All transactions on PawDrop are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). We do not charge additional payment processing fees; however, your card issuer or financial institution may apply currency conversion fees or other transaction charges.
5. Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment fails or is declined by your financial institution or payment provider, you will be notified immediately. You will be required to provide a new payment method to complete your purchase. PawDrop is not responsible for any fees or charges imposed by your financial institution as a result of failed payments.
6. Refunds and Returns
Refunds are processed in accordance with our Refunds Policy. If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Refunds are managed through Stripe’s payment system, and funds may take 7-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank’s processing times. Please note that a $25 restocking fee may apply if the return is not due to a faulty or damaged product.
7. Data Security and Privacy
All payment information is securely encrypted and processed by Stripe. PawDrop does not store any credit card information on its servers. Stripe adheres to PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements to ensure your payment data is protected. 8. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a payment was made in error or you wish to dispute a charge, please contact us at hello@pawdrop.com.au. We will work with you to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Chargeback requests must be initiated through your financial institution, and we may be required to provide information about your purchase.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Stripe Payment Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of our website after any updates indicates your acceptance of the changes.
